Karen sat in a small restaurant browsing through the books she had stolen from the library the night prior. She even had enough time to grab a few novels along with the usual mass of history and geography. Though she didn’t have much time to make a good selection the few she had weren’t as bad as she thought.
She was getting quite into one of them when the waitress came over for the third time and asked her if she was ready to order. Since she had run out of money she lied and told the lady not yet. She was going to have to leave soon if she kept this up, but it was cold outside.
She looked out the window and noticed Aria, a girl she had met not too long ago and smiled. She was always glad to find someone to keep her company. She knocked on the window to get her attention.
